We are more than just a serious fishing camp; we can also be called a family resort do to all the outdoor adventure activities available for the whole family. Not only do we have activities like hiking, canoeing and swimming, there are also many local attractions such as museums, natural wonders, golf and much more.

Our cabins are clean, comfortable, fully equipped and look out over the water and in view of some spectacular sunsets, stars and sometimes Northern Lights.

In the fall we offer hunting for Black Bear, Moose and Whitetail Deer. Our Black Bear Hunting management area (BMA) is 250 square miles and produces huge bears. We do have adult Bull Moose tags for non-residents in WMU 5 and WMU 8. Dryden is one of the top Whitetail Deer hunting destinations in Canada. The success of our Whitetail Deer hunts confirms that.

Trophy Walleye Fishing
Walleye fishing on Wabigoon Lake is the best in Ontario with 10-pound Walleyes available and good fishing days where 100 Walleyes are caught

Monster Muskie Fishing
Wabigoon Lake is famous for having the best Muskie fishing in Ontario. We are also only an hour drive way from Eagle lake where you can also get access to good Muskie fishing. 40-inch, 45-inch, 50-inch and 55-inch Muskies get caught on Wabigoon.

Lunker Norther Pike Fishing
Northern Pike fishing is the best in Dryden. Huge Northern Pike reaching 50-inches, which can weigh over 30 pounds, are caught. There are many bays with pike and it's not uncommon to catch 100 pike in a day.

Smallmouth Bass Fishing
Bronzbacks...Smallies...Brown Bass... It does not matter what you call them, Smallmouth Bass are the hardest fight fresh water fish pound-for-pound and taste fantastic. Wabigoon Lake is stuffed with large trophy Smallmouth Bass.

Jumbo Perch Fishing
Yellow Perch and quite common with perch reaching the size status of Jumbo Perch. You are allowed to bring 50 home with a Sports License and 25 with a Conservation License.

Lake Trout Fishing
There are no Lake Trout in Wabigoon Lake but there are many Lake Trout Lakes in the area where you can catch good eating sizes as well as fat lunker Lakers

How to Cook Walleye Recipes
Saute onion and green pepper in butter until tender. Add sherry. Lay walleye fillets on top of sautéed vegetables and sprinkle with Canadian steak seasoning. Cover with lid and cook over medium heat until fish flakes easily with fork. Sprinkle with Havarti cheese. Cook until melted.

Black Bear Hunting Canada
Dryden Area black bear hunting with big trophy fall black bears. Ontario has been overrun by Black Bears. In the last ten years, Black Bear numbers have doubled or even tripled in some areas. Some say it's from a combination of milder winters, absence of spring hunting and better-managed forestry. To bear hunters, all that matters is there are more bears and a greater availability of really big Trophy Black Bears, which is the main factor in the success of your hunt. Our town "Dryden" was named after all the bear dens in the area. Traveling to the Dryden area in the fall to prepare for hibernation is an ancient migration, which the bears cannot resist.
